In 2007, a group of Vietnam veterans, living in Big Canoe, wanted to reach out and assist current veterans who were injured and to achieve this goal, they created a not for profit 501(c)3 Georgia corporation, Vets Help Vets, Inc.
The mission of Vets Help Vets is to provide veterans living in north metro Atlanta with home renovations to facilitate their independence and re-Intergration back into civilian society.
Volunteers with Vets Help Vets donate their time and resources to provide these services free to veterans and their families.
No volunteer or member of Vets Help Vets receives any compensation. 100% of all donations are used to purchase materials and supplies for the project.
All work meets local building codes and guidelines stipulated in the American for Disability Act.
